Q. i want to do medicine for that i'll have to do college algebra, trigonometry, precalculus and calculus 1...now am already done with trig and i'm currently doing precal...i don't really have an interest in math but i am still doing it because my major requires it...but yeah i've got pretty good grades till now though...so its not a big problem...now the actual problem is that i want to complete calculus as soon as i can because i've heard its pretty tough compared to the other courses...the next semester that is summer is a short one compared to the other semesters...so i as thinking of taking calculus for a short semester and getting it over with...but my dad wants me to take college algebra for summer...i have no problem taking it but i… [cont.] Asked by Mesmerizing Me - Sat Mar 1 18:42:18 2008 - Higher Education (University +) - 1 Answers - Comments A. I have taken both courses. I would NOT recommend taking them simultaneously, especially during the summer term (which is much quicker paced). Col Alg is easier, so the summer option is perfect. You will appreciate the slower pace of a traditional semester when it comes to calc- believe me! If you are very gifted in math you can probably handle taking them both this summer, but your grades will suffer (not good when it comes to applying for med school). So, if you want to get an A or B in both courses, don't take them together during the summer term. Hope that helps, and good luck!
